Yesterday I wrote about net grid energy vs media and government lies. How deception and lies about powering 4million homes, could actually be actually be 476,000. From yesterday…Here’s reality using China’s numbers. With a 17 % capacity factor and a grid utilization factor of .7 it drops the number of homes down to 476,000.

It gets much worse because this is just the the energy produced for the grid that has not been distributed and utilized. These are grid numbers before dispersal. In order to stabilize the grid, primary grid energy sources have to be adjusted carefully and a large percentage of wind energy in every scenario, can never be used. In this Chinese report, they use the term “wind curtailment rate” for these grid losses from the wind farm to consumer.

As one can see below, the Gansu wind farm has a 43% curtailment rate for energy lost to grid adjustments and transmission. Every wind farm has these grid/transmission losses.

So keeping this in mind, the rate of energy that can be utilized by consumers drops another 43%.

A green energy lie of powering 4 million homes, drops from 476,000 homes, down another 204,000 homes for a net benefit to consumers of approximately 272,000 homes. A consumer net of 6.8% from that statement of 4 million homes. These numbers are similar to a wind energy grid audit in Nome Alaska. This audit showed a wind energy contribution to their grid, as a measly 6.3%.

The Great Global Warming Swindle caused controversy in the UK when it premiered March 8, 2007 on British Channel 4.

A documentary, by British television producer Martin Durkin, which argues against the virtually unchallenged consensus that global warming is man-made. A statement from the makers of this film asserts that the scientific theory of anthropogenic global warming could very well be “the biggest scam of modern times.”

According to Martin Durkin the chief cause of climate change is not human activity but changes in radiation from the sun. Some have called The Great Global Warming Swindle the definitive retort to Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth. Using a comprehensive range of evidence it’s claimed that warming over the past 300 years represents a natural recovery from a ‘little ice age’.


According to the program humans do have an effect on climate but it’s infinitesimally small compared with the vast natural forces which are constantly pushing global temperatures this way and that. From melting glaciers and rising sea levels, The Great Global Warming Swindle debunks the myths, and exposes what may well prove to be the darkest chapter in the history of mankind. According to a group of leading scientists brought together by documentary maker Martin Durkin everything you’ve ever been told about global warming is probably untrue. Just as we’ve begun to take it for granted that climate change is a man-made phenomenon, Durkin’s documentary slays the whole premise of global warming.
